Shipnity Thai Address ("the app") is a Shopify app that suggests Thai addresses in Shopify checkout. This policy explains what information the app handles and what it does not.
1. Addresses typed in checkout
When a buyer types in the address field of checkout with Thailand selected, the app reads the typed text and the selected country to find matching Thai addresses. This happens inside Shopify checkout, in the buyer's browser, using address data bundled with the app. The typed text is not sent to our servers or to anyone else, and the app does not store it.
When the buyer selects a suggestion, the app fills the address, city, province and postcode fields in checkout. Shopify stores the order's address under Shopify's own privacy policy.
2. Merchants and store data
The app requests no access scopes. It cannot read the store's products, customers or orders. When a merchant opens the app in the Shopify admin, Shopify gives the app a short-lived session token that identifies the store and the staff account. The app checks this token for that request only and does not store it.
3. Notifications from Shopify
Shopify sends the app notices when the app is uninstalled and when a customer or store asks for its data to be shown or deleted. The app verifies each notice and records its type and the store's domain. It does not store customer data, so there is no customer data to return or delete.
4. Server logs
Our server is hosted by Render (servers in Singapore). For each request to our server, such as a merchant opening the app page or a notice from Shopify, the server log records the time, the requested address, the response status and the IP address of the sender. Render keeps these logs for a limited time. We use them only to run and secure the app.
5. Sharing and third parties
We do not sell or share personal information. The app relies on these providers:
- Shopify, which runs checkout and the Shopify admin.
- Render, which hosts our server.
- Shopify's content delivery network and Tailwind CSS's content delivery network (cdn.tailwindcss.com), from which the app's admin page and this page load scripts. These providers receive the visitor's IP address when the scripts load.
6. Cookies
The app does not set cookies.
7. Your rights and contact
Because the app does not store buyer information, requests about order data should go to the store where the order was placed. 8. Changes
If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
